Automatic systems for calculating weight and static volume

SUSA uses a certified weight and volume detection system - SIPI
Palletscan 300 The Palletscan 300 electronic system is designed for detecting the weight and dimensions of the pallets positioned on the weighing platform by the identification of a barcode using a manual laser reader. A digital photograph of the pallet can also be taken and stored in the archive for statistical or documentation purposes.

The information collected is stored in the local database and transferred to the company management system for subsequent processing.
If a difference with the data declared in the transport documentation is detected by the system, SUSA will communicate with the sender and proceed, if necessary, with the relative taxation.
The general conditions of the contract drawn up by Federcorrieri Confetra, in article 9, state that the Courier has the right to check:

A - The gross weight of the goods

If the gross weight ascertained by the Courier is higher or lower than that indicated by the sender, the shipment will be:

  1. 1) taxed at the price corresponding to the actual weight
  2. ascertained;
  3. 2) burdened with a surcharge equal to 20% of the price of the
  4. shipment, without prejudice to the Courier's right of recourse against the
  5. sender for any damages, fines and/or penalties deriving from the incorrect
  6. indication.
 
B - The volume of packages

If the indicated volume of the goods is less than the ratio provided for in the "Fees and Tariffs" attachment, the resulting weight is applied.

 
C - The overall dimensions of the goods

If the overall dimensions ascertained by the Courier are higher than those indicated by the sender, the shipment will be:

  1. 1) taxed for the actual volume ascertained;
  2. 2) burdened with a surcharge, without prejudice to the
  3. Courier's right of recourse against the sender for any damages, fines and/or
  4. penalties deriving from the incorrect indication.
 

We work for maximum safety.

We are very attentive to safety and this control system allows us to manage shipments by organizing loads in the best possible way.
Legislation states that, in the event of an incorrect declaration of cargo, the responsibility still remains with the sender.
